The monument—a bronze bust of Frank on a tall marble pedestal by sculptor Cäcilie Danzer (1885–1963)—was erected on May 1th8, 1935, on the 150th anniversary of the Old General Hospital (AAKH), in courtyard 1 of the hospital, to the side of the main avenue (the same bust had already been created in marble by the sculptor in 1930/31, and in 1931, with a different pedestal and inscription, it was dedicated by the Austrian Ministry of Social Affairs to the German Hygiene Museum in Dresden for its “Gallery of Great Doctors”). |
