Am 24. Juni 2025 fand im Großen Festsaal der Uni Wien die Verleihung der Ehrendoktorate an Andrea K. Bjorklund und Anne Peters durch den Rektor der Universität Wien, Sebastian Schütze, und die Dekanin der Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakultät, Brigitta Zöchling-Jud, statt. Die Veranstaltung würdigte das herausragende wissenschaftliche Wirken von Prof. Andrea K. Bjorklund "whose outstanding scholarly work in the field of international commercial and investment dispute settlement has contributed to upholding the rule of law." Vor der Verleihung hielt Andrea K. Bjorklund einen Vortrag zum Thema "The Resilience of International Law". |

Andrea K. Bjorklund is a Full Professor and the L. Yves Fortier Chair in International Arbitration and International Commercial Law at McGill University Faculty of Law. She is the General Editor of Arbitration International and the General Editor for Investment for the Journal of International Dispute Settlement. She publishes widely on international economic law matters and on dispute settlement. In addition to her academic work she acts as arbitrator and expert in both investment and commercial arbitrations. Andrea Bjorklund holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, as well as an M.A. in French studies from New York University and a B.A. in History and French from the Univeristy of Nebraska.
